Kingsbourne House, Holborn
A comprehensive refurbishment was required to open-up and lighten-up the dark and cramped reception area and lift lobbies of this 1930s office block in High Holborn, London. The main issue that this commercial property presented was that it was a seven storey building with a box for a reception desk.
Our solution was to create additional space by repositioning a flight of stairs and reinventing the fire exit. We added a new bamboo reception desk, contemporary metal framed doors, high-gloss wall cladding, floor to ceiling mirror, stone-chip floor, and creative signage.
The result? Double of rental levels, in record time.
To see how we created valuable collaborative work areas and comfortable break-out spaces in a previously formal reception see our Birchwood Building project.
